Aspect Architects, LLC was initiated by Matthew C. Bartlett, AIA, to offer perspective, care and understanding to those clients wishing to build their dream project for their home or business. Aspect's vision is to provide a clearly defined direction towards successful completion of a project which meets or exceeds the client's goals. Aspect, through Mr. Bartlett's experience, offers services in a broad spectrum reflecting his experience in project types ranging from the recently opened new Indianapolis Airport to custom remodel for a family home.

Aspect Architects, LLC is an Indianapolis-based company with ability to serve clients in currently licensed states of Indiana, Ohio, Florida, with abilities to service clients in other states as desired. Aspect is a registered company in the State of Indiana. Mr. Bartlett is a member of AIA, NCARB, and the USGBC. With a LEED-AP professional, aspects of energy efficiency and sustainability are considered in every project.

Aspect Architects, LLC is committed to community services with Mr. Bartlett's positions as Vice President of ACE Mentoring of Indiana and as Assistant Scout Master for BSA Troop #18 in Indianapolis.

alt Mr. Bartlett is a life-long resident of Indianapolis who has maintained a love and longing for providing great design services throughout his architectural career. Interest in architecture came early with architectural training classes at North Central High School in Indianapolis. With a desire to experience a new environment while studying for his Master's of Architecture Degree, Mr. Bartlett chose Tulane University in New Orleans; it was in that fabulous city that Mr. Bartlett discovered the joy of working with historic architecture.

Returning to Indianapolis, Mr. Bartlett has had tremendous opportunities in firms, partnerships and projects, which includes the following:

  • Apprenticed tutelage under three Fellows of the AIA as well as own tutoring of high school youth into Architecture/Construction and Engineering careers.
  • Custom residential design (including a focus over 3 years), both new and remodel/additions
  • Master planning of sites such as Ft. Benjamin Harrison
  • Facilities and neighborhood historic analysis (as relates to DNR Section 106)
  • Commercial design projects from small to large, from the $265M New Indianapolis Airport Terminal and Concourses to $5K office reception area remodels
  • Institutional experience with universities, K-12 school systems, churches, town halls, courts, libraries and parks
  • Diverse locations from Maine to California and Indiana to Florida; including work in Colorado, Georgia, Kentucky, Ohio and Illinois
  • Sustainable designing, with LEED-AP credentials
