(Mr. Bartlett served as Co-Manager for this Project by Aero Design Group (with HOK))
1,178,000 SF new international airport, $265 million, key joint-venture
partner with AeroDesign Group in association with HOK Design, includes
new terminal and concourses, expected completion in 2008. As a leader
in AeroDesign Group, Mr. Bartlett was co-manager of a staff of 22
architecture positions from three participating local firms in a joint
venture for design development and construction document production for
the new Indianapolis Airport Terminal. Duties included design
assistance in response to project modifications between schematics and
design development; code reviews and coordination as the code
consultant contact point; PA systems coordination as the PA consultant
contact point; ADA and all accessibility coordination as the legal
consultant contact point; and security and IT systems coordination as
the security consultant contact point. Mr. Bartlett also served as the
IAA and BAAI contact for retail tenant area program areas and as the
design firm contact point for IAA Airport Fire Department.
The Indianapolis International Airport received the coveted 2009 Monumental Award as the most significant project of the year in Indianapolis as determined by Keep Indianapolis Beautiful Inc. The organization presented a total of 37 awards in 2009 to projects that represent the most visual and physical enhancements. The airport was chosen as the top award winner because of its substantial civic impact.
