$4.8 million, addition/renovation, doubled school size, addition of classrooms, gymnasium, administrative offices, new media center. Mr. Bartlett was the Project Manager for this project while with Paul I. Cripe (a joint venture company of Cripe & O'Donnell, LLC was the company of record for the project). This project was an extensive remodel and large expansion to an existing elementary school in Waverly for the Moorseville Community Schools system. It was a very difficult design due to a highly sloped site which also had to allow for a completely on-site sewage treatment system. It was accomplished in two phases. Key to solving the site's slope was putting the new gym/multipurpose areas out front, perpendicular to and at a lower level to the original building, and a later classroom wing addition was planned at a slightly higher elevation and paralell to the original building in the rear.
